    Genre: Dark comedy? Drama?


    The main character wakes up one day and finds themself with someone else’s arms. They go on a day long journey to find whoever has their own arms. 


    The film opens with the main character doing something that focuses on the utilization of their arms (lifting weights, instrument, art, etc. idk yet.) This activity is something they are very passionate about. Their arms are distinctive (tattoos, size, etc.) They wake up the next morning with a different pair of arms, also distinctive. They freak out. After they have calmed down they think of ways to relocate their original arms. They somehow realize or assume that they switched arms with someone else, and embark on a journey to locate that person. They go around to different places (where arms are visible) such as a show, arm wrestling match, etc. They have no luck. I am unsure how I am going to end it yet.



    The message is possibly about losing something you have worked so hard for/has become a core part of your identity. I may go the route of the character not getting their original arms back in the end, as sometimes things are permanently changed and you have to adapt and learn to live with the circumstances.





STORY BEATS

  • Main character lifting weights at night in room, making poses in mirror

  • Looks at calendar, almost day of arm wrestling contest!

  • Determined, excited look on face

  • Goes to bed

  • Wakes up next morning, different arms

  • Freaks out

  • Calms down

  • Puts HAVE YOU SEEN THESE ARMS posters everywhere

  • Looks in random places

  • Bumps into someone “Oh hey ___! Oh sorry, you have the exact same tattoos as my friend! That’s so weird!”

  • WHO??

  • Person directs them somewhere, a club/show?

  • Goes to club/show

  • People dancing, having their arms up

  • Starts seeing their arms on everyone 

  • Gets super disoriented, leaves

  • Goes back home, dejected, goes to sleep

  • Wakes up on day of arm wrestling contest, angrily determidly decides to go

  • Wins a couple rounds, is surprised but becomes determined to win with new arms

  • Final boss has main character’s OG arms

  • Close up on main character, shocked

  • FIN
